SIA Door Supervisor
This is the most popular course in security industry to find a quick job. A unique license as it qualifies an individual to work as a Door Supervisor and a Security Guard.
There are no formal entry requirements to the Door Supervisor course; however the minimum age requirement for entry into this course is 18 years.
You will be asked to bring along Identification documents (Both parts of provisional or full UK driving license, passport) and proof of address (utility bill, bank statement etc) along with 2 passport size photographs.
A range of other documents can be accepted as proof of address.

Q: What is the aim of this course?
To work as a SIA Door Supervisor or SIA Security Guard in the UK you will need to have an SIA licence, issued by the Security Industry Authority (SIA).
One of the requirements of the SIA licence is that you hold a recognised qualification, and the Level 2 National Certificate for Door Supervisors meets this veryrequirement for the SIA Licence.
The SIA Door Supervisor course is run over three or four days and has approx 30 hours of tuition and 2 hours of exams. The exams papers consist of two 35-MCQs with a pass ratio of 77%.

Q: Who is it for?
New entrants to the security industry and those who are returning to it having previously worked prior to the introduction of SIA licensing in 2004, wIll need to undertake the SIA training to be able to apply for the SIA licence

Certficates may be collected from centre 2- 3 weeks after successful course completion.
Q: Do I need my certificate to apply for SIA Licence?
No, you do not need your certificate to apply for SIA Licence.
You can apply for SIA Licence as soon as you have your result.
Q: I want to work as a Security Guard, is this course right for me?
Yes, you may work as a security guard if you hold a Door Supervisor licence, however will not be allowed to work as a Door Supervisor if you hold a security guard licence.
This makes Door Supervisor course more valuable.
